you say snopocalypse I say no wait at my favorite OTR restaurant

About the only thing that could be more surreal than a city crushing snow storm, is a snow storm that is a complete miss. These storms are always a big deal to people who don't drive and live a walk-able lifestyle. Not because it puts any kind additional burden on us. But because it doesn't even matter. There are no cars trying to murder us and more importantly, there are no lines at our favorite restaurants. The number one place we love is Senate, and we really love walking in and sitting down.
So we didn't get much if any snow but that doesn't mean a gusting wind wasn't uncomfortable, normally we would walk but crossing paths with Cincinnati Metro #78 was even better, it dropped us off practically outside Senate's front door.

Oh man, did I mention Senate is the one place you can reliably find Ithaca Flower Power? Flower Power encapsulates everything I like about IPAs without being a punch in the forehead like some IPAs. I heard tht Senate sells twice as much of it as the rest of Ohio put together.

After Senate we wandered down to The Lackman which is always packed. We walked right in and sat down. It was all really chill, and I don't know if this is a recent thing but they had a bottle of Hibiki which I couldn't pass up and ended up with a pour.

One last stop at Neon's for CincyPhil's birthday. Neon's was just like the old days, all locals and I knew everyone there. Also, if you don't follow Phil on instagram you really should.
These non snow events are a double edge sword. While it was nice everywhere we went we have many friends in the restaurant industry and while the news outlets were busy spreading fear, everyone relying on tips was taking a hit in the wallet. I hope they didn't lose two much on what should be one of their biggest nights. We tipped everyone a little better than normal to help do our part.
