the six toed cat

The big plan in Key West was to do nothing while we were there and we accomplished that with one little trip, mainly to see cats.
Kind of.
The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum was a block away from our breakfast spot that morning so we wandered over to check it out. I didn't know much about Ernest Hemingway and it turns out I knew even less about him than I thought. For instance, he had four wives and everyone took all his money. Then in 1959 with the revolution the Cuban's seized his house, boat and everything else he owned including manuscripts he was working on. I think that did him in because he committed suicide two years later.
At any rate back to the cats, every six toed cat in the world is descended from his son's cat Snow White. Along with all the roosters on the island, the cats are protected by the Animal Welfare Act and you can't mess with them.

One of his wives had all the ceiling fans removed and these Parisian chandeliers installed. A fact the tour guide pointed out that everyone hates her for in August.
